Celebrate Business Success Award (2007)

Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce
District Energy President Anders Rydaker received a Celebrate Business Success Award from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce in September 2007.

The Chamber and the law firm of Moore, Costello & Hart partnered in early 2005 to honor businesses, individuals and/or initiatives in a recognition program called Celebrate Business Success. The program recognizes those who provide leading examples of how companies, employees and initiatives contribute to a shared vision of economic success throughout the Saint Paul/East Metro area. Susan Krantz, from Moore, Costello & Hart, is shown presenting the award to Anders.

Person of the Year (2007)

International District Energy Association
Anders Rydaker, president of District Energy St. Paul, received the International District Energy Association's prestigious Norman R. Taylor Award at the organization's 98th Annual Conference & Trade Show in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The award is the highest distinction IDEA can confer on an individual as 'person of the year,' recognizing that person's career achievements and contributions to the association and the district energy and combined heat and power industries.

IDEA's 2006-2007 Chair Gary Rugel presented the award. "The Norm Taylor Award stands for exceptional leadership — a quality shared by the award's namesake and Anders Rydaker. With Anders at the helm, District Energy St. Paul has become one of the world's pre-eminent district energy companies, thanks to his industry knowledge, sound energy planning and engineering expertise. He is highly respected by his colleagues for the strategic vision and enthusiasm he has contributed to IDEA and other district energy organizations, including those in Sweden. Anders is an outstanding ambassador for our industry, and a gentleman."
